.... yes Torty XD
or: Drama about a Cake

Yesterday was Victory-Day ^-^
For everyone who knows of the "Yes" Torties: They are back XD but just once a year ^^
For everyone who doesn´t: The yes torties are small cakes and quite famous in germany, where they have been selled from 1981 to 2003. Afterwards they dissapeared ;_; the production has been stoppen... until 2007, when the torties found their rebirth as a special delivery once a year and just for a few days. Make that very few days XD even if the production has been stopped 2003 because the selling records went down, the torties still hold some nostalgic worth and: they are delicious ^-^

I love them! And I´m certainly not the only one XD last year october I chatted with a dear friend who´s living in sweden. I mentioned that I was eating Yes (as the torties are called ^^) and never expected the mourning and longing "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" I got in return XD the torties were not available in sweden ^^ So of course I did the most logic thing in such a situation:
First I laughed my ass off because of her misery and told her how delicious the torties are XD
Then tried to comfort her
And then I send some packages of the cakes through mail XD

This year, I waited for the torties. And asked the shop assistants of various shops about the them. And searched. And asked -.- And at some point -two weeks ago- one of the salesmen told me:
"Huh? Yes, the torties had been selled this year. For one weekend two weeks ago. But they were sold out within two days. There is not one single pack left."
....
...
... -.-!!!!!

the following weeks I tried to track down the torties in the same shops, where I bought them last year. None. Sold out.
My future brother in law told me, he thought he saw some at the station. So I searched through the stations. None.
Yesterday I went to two of the bigger shops. I even got one of the salemen to call Nestle and ask for more - none left.
Do they know, where I could find some? - No.

My absolutly last try was a small shop in a part of the town I once lived. I knew that most of the customers of the shop where retired people, grandmas and generally old people ^^° And hey: most of them can´t eat too much sugar XDDD so maybe in THIS shop there would be still some yes left!

And..... ^____________________________^ Today the mail - and the torties- should have left the country on their way to stockholm XD and I´ve got a nice reserve in the fridge *purr*
